Feedburner feed saga - part 3
In case you have been following the TXP Tips Feedburner saga part 1 and part 2, you may know that I screwed up the site’s RSS feeds, which use the Feedburner service.
By mistake, I migrated the Feedburner account to a Google AdWords account instead of an AdSense account. Oh dear.
Then I emailed Google to see if they could rectify my mistake, but have not heard from them – yet. Hey, its only been just over a month.
So, after some encouragement from a TXP Tips contributor, I thought I might as well just create a new feed! Easy, right? I created the feed under the AdSense account, no problems at all.
But – the name (uri) of the feed was some random thing, and we need /Txp-Tips for our feed, since we already have a lot of subscribers to that uri.
So I thought why not just delete the old feed under the AdWords account and then rename the new feed Txp-Tips? Hurrah!
Well in case you ever think of doing the same, don’t. It does not work. For some reason, you can’t rename the feed because apparently “The uri “TxpTips” is already taken. Please choose another.”
Umm. Posting on the Google Feedburner Group has so far been useless but lets see.
If anyone has a great solution for this, I am all ears…
